God’s love is so great to man, so man should not stingy love for his neighbor. This is behind the theme of the celebration of UB’s Academic Community 2017 “Harmony for Peace in Everything”. The Christmas celebration that was attended by all UB students, lecturers and employees was held on Thursday (28/12/2017), at Samantha Krida Building.
This activity begins with worship led by Rm Charolus Albertus Leta, SSM, then continued with the celebration. Vice Rector III for Student Affair Prof. Dr. Ir. Arief Prajitno, MS, representing UB Rector in his speech said, UB Christmas theme this time is in line with what has been echoed by the rector during his nearly four year term, that is “togetherness and harmonization”.
“UB is made up of various human beings with diverse backgrounds, tribes, religions, but can build together this institution, we must improve to be more UB, for that togetherness and harmonization must be maintained,” said Professor of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science.
Vice Rector III UB when giving speech In this activity also conducted scholarship to children orphanage of Kampar Malang. The scholarship was symbolically handed over by the Chairman of KORPRI Kristiani UB Wignyanto to the Chairman of Ibu Lubis Orphanage.
Chief Executive. Ir. Setyono Yudo Tyasmoro, MS said, the scholarship is part of the celebration of joy and love. “Hopefully UB’s Christian citizens can always continue to love each other,” he concluded. [Irene/Humas]
