Guest Lecture on The Energy Transition and The Mining Sector was held in Auditorium 6th floor Building A Faculty of Law University of Brawijaya, Tuesday 27 August 2019. The main speaker was Prof. Raphael J. Heffron BA, MA, M.Litt, M.Phil, MSc, Ph.D, Barrister at Law, Professor for Global Energy Law and Sustainability and Jean Monnet Professor in the Just Transition to a Law Carbon Economy.
This guest lecture was a part of series of academic collaboration between research group on Energy, Patroleum, and mining Law (RGEPML) Faculty of Law University of Brawijaya and Centre for Energy, Patroleum, and Mining Law and Policy, University of Dundee, UK.
Also present at the event, DR. Indah Dwi Qurbani, SH., MH as director of the research group on Energy, Patroleum, and mining Law (RGEPML) FHUB, Prischa Listiningrum, SH., LL.M as FHUB academics and event moderators, FHUB academics members of the research group group on Energy, Patroleum, and mining Law (RGEPML) and also attended by more than 150 students.
The event began with a brief overview related to future collaboration that will be carried out with a research center at Dundee University delivered by DR. Indah Dwi Qurbani, SH., MH. The purpose of this event is to provide perspectives related to Energy policy locally, nationally and internationally.
The event consists of two sessions. The first session will discuss the energy transition, while the second session will discuss mining sector. Delivered by Prof. Raphael J. Heffron material related to energy transition, energy law, the just transition and investment and the second session discussed mining sector and low carbon economy. The event was closed with a question and answer discussion with guest lecture participants. (AZL)
