Kristiyanto, FH students class of 2013 will participate in the ASEAN Student Forum on Human Rights 2015. This is an annual event of Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. AFHR activities will last for 7 days, on 15-21 March 2015.
Kristiyanto explained that he was one of the representatives of Indonesia in these event in addition to 10 other students from all over Indonesia. He added, to participate in the event there are several stages of selection that must be passed, from about 1467 applicants from Indonesia, there are 11 students from Indonesia to make their way to Bangkok. Kristiyanto itself is divided into the Commission D in the Table Discussion along with two other students from UI and UGM respectively. ”I do not believe from thousands of applicants from Indonesia I am one of the chosen to be delegates from Indonesia, but I will give my best and put my highest every to follow on every single activities” he added firmly.
The Grand Theme of this year AFHR is “Refugee & Immigrant”, “Human Trafficking”, “LGBT and Gender Equality” and “Dissabilities Right”. In addition to international conferences, events will be arranged with a variety of academic and non-academic activities, including; Symposium, Table Discussion, Academic Visit, Volunteering, and the ASEAN Summit.
