Healthy Walk 61st Anniversary of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya

Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya held a Healthy Walk activity which is a series of activities for the 61st FH UB Anniversary, this event was held on July 29 2018. The event was attended by all levels of UB’s FH academic community starting from UB Leaders, Faculty Leaders, Power Lecturers, Employees, Students, and Alumni from 1961 to 2015. The event was followed by the Inauguration of PDIH C Building, Arena Hukum, scopus indexed journals by UB Chancellor, meals together, competitions, Ponogogo Reog Performances, etc. The first speech was filled by Dr. Rachmad Safa’at, S.H., M.Sc. (Dean of FH UB), he said that at the 61st Anniversary of the FH can strengthen each other’s relationship and increase solidarity with both Alumni and universities to jointly support the reputation and quality in the field of academic, human resources, and good cooperation at the national level. and internationally under the auspices of the UB Chancellor, UB Faculty of Law will also hold an international conference in Jakarta on 18-20 September 2018. Then the second speech by Prof. Dr. Nuhfil Hanani AR, M.S. he said that the FH was the first faculty established in 1957; and this year because of seeing the grandest FH UB building in Indonesia, and the highest number of students, FH no longer competes in National PTN, but competing at the international level with competitiveness at the Asian level, especially in Japan, China, and Singapore) Brawijaya is now gaining ranked 8th at the national level, the hope is that this year under the auspices of the current UB Chancellor, can reach the top 5 in Indonesia. Malang, July 31, 2018 Faculty of Law, UB held an event entitled “Radicalism Seminar on Campus” This theme was proposed as a series of the 61st FH UB Anniversary to prepare and welcome New Students especially in Universitas Brawijaya (UB) in 2018 by presenting thousands of students new who will continue their studies at UB. Facing issues related to indicated Radicalism on Campus, FH UB collaborates with BNPT (National Counter Terrorism Agency) to thoroughly investigate various motives of cases that occur especially in East Java. UB Faculty of Law presents the three presenters, namely: 1. Brig. Gen. Pol. Ir. Hamli (Director of Prevention of BNPT); 2. Faizin Sulistyo, S.H., LL.M. (FH UB Academics); 3. Yusli Efendi, S.IP., M.A. (Academic FISIP UB). The seminar material discussed in this meeting was how the motive for disseminating the concept of radicalism among students, and the model of the spread of radicalism on campus. [FAH / PR]

PENGUMUMAN DAFTAR ULANG (REGISTRASI) MAHASISWA BARU PROGRAM PASCASARJANA ILMU HUKUM FAKULTAS HUKUM UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA SEMESTER GANJIL TAHUN AKADEMIK 2018/2019

Diumumkan  kepada seluruh mahasiswa baru Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Hukum Fakultas Hukum Universitas Brawijaya yang telah dinyatakan lolos seleksi, diharap melakukan Registrasi Semester Ganjil Tahun Akademik 2018/2019 dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut

8. Setelah mendapatkan NIM dan mengisi Biodata Online mahasiswa dapat memproses KTM di Rektorat lantai 2 dengan membawa print out Form 8.

CATATAN PENTING:

  • Daftar ulang di luar jadwal tidak akan dilayani.
  • Mohon untuk tidak melakukan pembayaran dengan cara transfer ATM
  • Bagi Mahasiswa Baru S3 pelamar beasiswa BPP-DN dan BUDI-DN apabila belum ada keputusan penerimaan beasiswa, maka dimohon membayar terlebih dahulu (menalangi) biaya pendidikan semester I sesuai dengan ketentuan di atas. Apabila nantinya mendapatkan beasiswa, mekanisme pengembalian uang dapat ditanyakan langsung ke pasca UB di nomor 0341-571260 dengan Sdr. Hermin atau Whindy.

European Union – UNDP works with the Faculty of Law Universitas Brawijaya Holds Corruption Prevention Discussion

Malang, September 6 2018 – European Union and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) through the SUSTAIN project in collaboration with the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya (FH UB) held a discussion entitled “Prevention of Corruption in the Public Sector” at the Faculty of Law Auditorium, Brawijaya University, Malang , East Java.

The Panel Discussion presented four panelists, consisting of Judges from the Medan High Court Ms. Albertina Ho, S.H., M.H., Deputy Dean of the UB Faculty of Law Mr. Dr. Prija Djatmika, S.H., M.S., Deputy Coordinator of Indonesia Corruption Watch (IWC) Agus Sunaryanto, and Coordinator of the EU-UNDP SUSTAIN Judicial Training Sector Bobby Rahman.

This discussion forum was held aimed at inviting young candidates for law enforcement to be actively involved in participating in the prevention of acts of corruption in the public sector. As the next generation, young people have an important role to reject the culture of corruption and encourage integrity to all levels of society. Therefore, they need to be introduced to how to detect, prevent, and fight corruption effectively.

Dean of the Faculty of Law, Universitas Brawijaya Dr. Rachmad Safa’at, S.H., M.Sc. said, this anti-corruption discussion was very important to be held continuously to improve students as a role in higher education in law, not only law faculty students, also all the elements involved in running the government.

“As a candidate for law enforcement officers, whether police, prosecutors, lawyers or judges, moral awareness of integrity and honesty is very necessary. So that when they work, they become officers not caught in corrupt practices that harm the people and citizens of Indonesia. Students are able to recognize practical motives. corruption and carrying out various prevention efforts in collaboration with the prosecutor’s office and the KPK. ”

This discussion activity was held following an integrated corruption prevention training at the provincial and local government levels carried out by the SUSTAIN project at 3 s.d. September 5, 2018 which was attended by provincial, city and district level officials in East Java as well as law enforcement officials.

SUSTAIN Senior Advisor to the EU-UNDP project Gilles Blanchi said the various trainings carried out by the SUSTAIN project not only touched on legal issues but also issues related to ethics, which were broader in scope, and included perceptions of appropriateness.

“Training for judges and other employees in the court regarding anti-corruption laws and also the code of ethics may not be enough, but this is an important step towards the integrity and accountability of the justice system which is demanded by the public. Besides teaching laws regulating integrity, important but also discussing the issue of ethics, because what is “legal”, that is “not against the law”, may be unethical, so that it is inappropriate to be carried out by judges or court officials “.

The EU-UNDP Project Support to Justice Sector Reform in Indonesia (SUSTAIN) aims to support the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia in reforming the justice sector, improving the transparency, integrity and accountability of the justice system.

The project, which started in 2014 and will end in 2019, is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP Indonesia. The project focuses on four sectors: enhancing the internal and external supervisory functions of the justice system, improving the technical capabilities of judges and court staff, strengthening human resource management systems and organizations and improving case management systems.
