Disruptive innovation is an innovation that creates new markets, disrupts or damages existing markets, and ultimately replaces previous technologies. Disruptive innovation develops a product or service in an unpredictable way, generally by creating products or services that are cheaper and easier with different types of consumers on new markets and resulting in lower prices on the old market. Disruptive innovation can be used to break boredom in the old market, melt the status quo or “ruler” of the old market, and can stop monopolies and cartels. This seminar discusses issues related to changes in technology-based business models, which are seen as disruptive innovation, and its impact on the climate of business competition in Indonesia. Then the seminar was closed with a discussion session.
