Civil Law Section, Faculty of Law, Brawijaya University Holds National Conference on National Business Law on October 14-15, 2019 in Auditorium 6th floor Building A FHUB.
The event began with remarks by the Dean of FHUB, Dr. Muchamad Ali Safa’at, S.H., M.H. The first conference session was moderated by Dr. Reka Dewantara S.H., M.H as an FHUB academic. The event was attend by the guest speaker, Syamsul Ma’arif S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. As the Supreme Court Judge of the Republic of Indonesia, delivered material on integrating law and ethics into corporate governance, Indonesia from the perspective of corporate governance, indicators of global competitiveness index and its relation to the implementation of good corporate governance, good corporate governance regulations, and good corporate governance in criminal acts.
Then Seminar was continued by Prof. Dr. Nindyo Pramono, S.H., M.H as academics at the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law, Gadjah Mada University. Delivering material on good corporate governance and the investment climate, the benefits of good corporate governance, obstacles to implementing good corporate governance, discussing about Indonesia which still considered to have a level of “country risk” high enough for the entry of foreign investment flows. Moral standards and business ethics standards, as well as the integration of law and ethics in good corporate governance. Then the seminar ended with a question and answer session, the second session was a presentation by the speaker who had sent scientific papers to this conference (Monday, October 14, 2019).
The second day the conference was continued with a national seminar moderated by M. Zairul Alam, S.H., M.H. as an academic of FHUB also attended as speaker Hayyan Ul Haq, SH, LL.M., Ph.D as an academic at the Department of Business Law, Faculty of Law, University of Mataram, delivered material on ethical development in the performance and implementation of international trade contracts in the field of technology transfer, finding a coordinate structure normative foundation in international trade, as well as establishing ethics in coherent diametric values and goals in optimizing intellectual and corporate products. Furthermore the delivery of material by the guest speaker Dr. Sukarmi, S.H., M.H. as an FHUB academic, provided material on business competition in corporations, corporate actions that created an unhealthy business climate, regulations relating to corporations and the consequences of corporate law that carried out unfair business competition activities and created monopolies in the business world.
